How We Met
Bea was selling brownies at a university fundraiser when a guy walked up and quietly bought her entire stock. No small talk, no smooth lines. Just a tupperware full of brownies and a lot of nerve. That was Joie. Turns out they both lived for good food, far-off places, and the kind of music you play, not just listen to. And that was more than enough to start something.
The Question
The Proposal
Joie had been planning it all morning. A small hike through shrines and pagodas, with Kyoto waiting at the top. When they reached the natural view deck, he pretended to set up a photo with the city in the background. Overlooking Kyoto’s stunning skyline, Joie got down on one knee and asked Bea to be his forever travel buddy. She went completely speechless, nodded, and then found her voice just long enough to say yes.
